My Lord who knows me,
to the depths of my heart,
has for me wisdom,
He wants to impart.
Divine attributes,
of patience and strength,
He wants now to teach me,
and give me at length.
He gave me a wife,
who loves me so true.
She makes me so happy,
and I love her too.
Then he let us remain,
so long, both apart,
to teach me of patience,
and it's blessings impart.
He gave to me trials,
I must overcome.
They help me to grow,
in strengths, one by one.
My Lord, in His wisdom,
knows what is best for me,
But the refiner's fire,
is a hard place to be.
I hope that His teaching,
I get valiantly past,
that I can live with Him,
one day at long last.
