Nature

I sit and gaze up at the heavens.

Surrounded by pine trees like pillars around me.

Massive column that tower far above me reaching for the heavens.

The blackness of night is punctuated by a million glowing gems.

More stars in the tiny patch of visible night than anyone in the city ever dreamed of in the whole sky.

I breathe deep in awe at the sight, and the aroma of pine and nature fill my senses.

I listen to the silence of the night, filled with a host of small sounds, and am comforted.

I think of the beauty and wonder of this place, and feel peace.

I know that God is!
