From Far Across the Sea

I woke each morning without hope.
My work and my kids would get me by.
I'd feel such sadness and so much remorse,
Some days I'd work hard not to cry.

Then one day the Lord heard my prayers
From far across the sea.
I found a friend who changed my life,
When he lead you to find me.

We chatted at length together,
And learned of each others hopes and fears.
We shared our lives as we shared our thoughts.
We healed each other's pains and fears.

We dreamed of the time when we would meet,
From far across the sea.
Of that first sweet hug and a tender kiss.
Of the time we could together be.

Friendship grew and we fell in love,
And dreamed together of eternity.
Two families to join in the bonds of love,
From far across the sea.
