Say Goodbye

It's time at last, to say goodbye.

I don't regret my leaving you.

With life apart, alone again,

I just regret me having to.

I do love you, and always will,

But love alone was not enough.

I felt alone all of the time,

And life like that is far too tough.

I lived in pain before I left,

To see you there, around each day.

To want to be with you so much,

And yet you were so far away.

I wished that you could see my pain,

And care enough to want me too,

As countless times I tried to say,

But you refused to let me through.

I had to leave to stop the pain

And so apart, we then must be.

Because, my dear, I knew at last,

That you had lost your love for me.
